Sicangu Fund will establish a loan fund program to principally serve residents and businesses located within the boundaries on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation in south central South Dakota, which encompasses Todd County. We will also serve enrolled members of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe living in the surrounding tribal lands located in parts of Tripp, Mellette, Gregory, and Lyman counties. Unless a loan recipient has an established track record running a successful small business, he or she will be asked to complete Sicangu Entrepreneurship, our comprehensive business development class you'll be eligible to apply for a loan.
Sicangu Fund is currently identifying the pricing and terms of our loan products. We're also working to capitalize our loan fund. Initially we will focus on microloans. Based on the availability of loan funds and the needs of our customers, we'll then expand to higher loan amounts.
