Who can use Sicangu Fund's services and apply for loan products?
Sicangu Fund will serve anyone who lives on the Rosebud Indian Reservation (which encompasses Todd County) and owns, or wants to establish a private small business located on the Rosebud Reservation. We will also serve enrolled members of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe who live in the surrounding tribal lands (parts of Tripp, Mellette, Gregory, and Lyman counties) and own, or want to establish a small business on the Reservation or in the communities where they live.

What can I use loan proceeds for and how much can I get?
Loan funds are only available for private business development. Examples of eligible uses include working capital, purchase of land or buildings, construction of buildings, leasehold improvements, vehicle purchase, purchase of inventory and equipment, purchase of an existing business, and refinancing of high interest debt.

Do I have to have collateral to get a loan?
Yes. All loans must be secured with collateral. Assets purchased from the loan proceeds can be used as collateral. Sicangu Fund staff will help identify what you have that can be used for collateral.
